I have just purchased the Tascam DR-05 recorder. It can place a “Mark” during WAV recordings. This I can utilize on the unit, but cannot see in Audacity. Tascam manual states: “BWF compliant software” is needed. Am I missing something or can Audacity not recognize these Marks? I am using Windows 8.1 and Audacity 2.0.6
Correct. Audacity does not yet support any Broadcast WAV Format (BWF) metadata, one of which is the “Cue” chunk which stores the “markers” Tascam refers to.

Thank you Gale Andrews …I need not spend any more time looking! May be in future versions of Audacity.
Grategraeme, I added a vote for you in the Feature Request in the Audacity Wiki for BWF

If you are willing to install python and run a script there is a possible workaround here to import the markers as Audacity labels http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Importing_Timestamp_Information.
If you try it, let us know if you have any feedback.
