recording levels and Windows 11

Hi there,

I’m using Audacity 3.1.2 and just upgraded to Windows 11.

I’m trying to do a “timer recording”, and need to adjust the recording volume. The only way I can do so is to start recording (not timer recording), stop, THEN I can adjust the recording volume in Audacity. But I cannot perform timer recording and if I did, the sound would be distorted due to the recording volume being too high.

How can I adjust the recording volume in Windows 11 for Audacity?

Have you tried setting/adjusting the Win11 Microphone sensitivity setting … 'jus a thought.
