I’m on Mac running Audacity 3.7.5. If I record a single track, it works fine. But if I try to add another track and record on it, I get tons of dropout. The only solution is to make a separate project to record each track. This happens on every new project, and only started happening after a recent update.
Lately I’ve been suspecting that Audacity is having trouble updating the screen while recording.
You could try a couple of things to see if it makes any difference for you… Disable continuous scrolling. Set a smaller screen size to the monitor. Run Audacity minimized. See if any of these help. If not, it’s something else going on.
