Recorder track not aligned

Hi!

I’m using Audacity on Linux to record a new track over an existing one, using the line in input.

The recorded track is misaligned from the existing one, with an advance of 150ms…

I cannot understand, I could think of a delay, but in this case the record is in advance…

So every time I have to add 150ms of silence to the new track.

Any idea?

Once you’ve measured the latency of your setup, dial it in to Audacity’s latency compensation. One time only: set & forget.
