Using new Audacity 3.2.3
recorded a conference call at too low of an input level- can barely hear it turn all the way up.
Is there any way to correct this so the track can be heard?
Thanks
Step 1. Make a copy of the track and put it in a safe place so if you damage or destroy something, you can “back up” to the original work.
Select the whole track > Effect > Amplify > OK.
The default Amplify settings will boost volume until it runs out of room and can’t go any louder. That may be enough right there. It will pick as reference the loudest part of the show. If some one thing anywhere in the show is very loud, this won’t work. That one thing will take over.
Post back.
Do you know why your recording failed?
Was this a Zoom call? It’s very difficult to record a Zoom call by yourself. Zoom has provision to record conferences. Consult your instructions.
