OS is Windows 10 and Audacity version 2.1.2.
Some months ago I used audacity with Focusrite 2i2 to record a number of old analog audio tapes I had stored but today without changing anything when I press “Record” in Audacity I get a message saying “error opening the sound device check the recording device settings and the project sample rate”
My 2i2 seems perfectly operational and importing my analog player device’s output and then outputting digital to both headphone and line outputs and my USB cable tested and is working.
I updated 2i2 drivers and made sure my DAW Ableton Live 9 options match focusrite 2i2 and nothing will let me open Record feature and begin recording.
