hello everybody,
now I downloaded this tool because i understood it to record a stream from the internet but I’m not sure if it is able to do what I want. I have an url of the program from last saturday which I’d like to record.
I tried to find they menu option where I enter my url as source, I wasn’t successful.
It would be helpful to me if you ask the questions:
1 can audacity record urls as sourcs?
2 if not, are there any tools which do so?

Yes, if you visit the URL in your web browser and play the file. See Tutorial - Recording Computer Playback on Windows - Audacity Manual.
Audacity cannot record or download by inputting a stream address in a dialogue.
VLC allows inputting a stream address, or if you are prepared to use a web browser, you can add browser extensions that will download the audio or video.

thanks a lot. and while playing around a bit, i’ve seen it records and i can play it, i just didn’t find out how to save it. now i’ ll look into the tutorial a bit deeper
