Using Windows 10 Home, Audacity 2.1.0
In “Sample workflow for LP digitization” it says to Export a Raw Master Backup as a “a single WAV for this recording at 32-bit float (not 16-bit).” The problem is that a 32-bit WAV is not a File Type option. Now, the project actually is done as 32-bit float but the only WAV export option is “WAV (Microsoft) signed 16-bit PCM”. I’ve attached a picture of a screen print to help explain this conundrum.
Am I misreading the instruction or am I missing the correct file-type option?
Thanks.
Ed
You’re using an old version of Audacity. In the version you have, choose “Other uncompressed files” and click the “Options…” button.
If you upgrade to 2.1.2 from http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows then WAV 32-bit float is an explicit list item, and there is no “Options…” button. The choices (if any) for each format type are embedded into the dialogue.

I did the upgrade to 2.1.2 and Exported from there.
Thanks for the tip.
