question...

i recorded a song and did it really well and then listened to it and it sounded ok but the vocals werent there just and i wanted to go back in and gain the voume on my voice track…

is there any way that i can go back into one of my sound files and gain the voulme on some things??

i should have saved it as an aup but i didnt…

what do i do to ge this to work??

Audacity Projects allow you to work on multiple tracks and adjust them individually. Once you have mixed the project down to a normal audio file you can’t.
The mix-down is a bit like baking - once a cake is baked you can’t un-bake it.

so i cant just reopen the file and gain more volume on the vocal part of the track dam…

that sucks…should have saved it as an aup

…as a Project. The AUP file is just the project manager file. Projects have lots of files with different jobs, which is why it’s a pain to try and move one.

You also need to know that Projects do not save UNDO.
