I have a multi track recording on the time line. I wish to copy audio from one track ( Track 1) and insert (overwrite) and paste it onto another track (Track 2) without changing the length of the track (Track 2) being written to.
This would be analogous to using a word processor overwrite function where characters are over written, but the overall length of the paragraph does not change.
In summary, I do not wish to insert an audio fragment in a clip which results in a longer clip. Why? Stretching the overall length of the clip puts it out of sync with the other tracks. Please advise.
