Projects Save

MacOS 10.13.6 … Audacity 2.4.2.

I’m trying to do an actual simple editing job. Be very afraid.

Step one, get rid of all the little clocks. I don’t know how I did it either, but Google knew.

There is no split and push, is there? Pick a point in the mid-waveform, click/split and push the right-hand portion later. Make a hole.

Projects don’t save timeline volume sliders, do they?

I didn’t check the panning controls. Do those settings vanish, too?

Any way to intentionally synchronize/link SELECT and SOLO?

I didn’t get very far. I’ll find more.

As far as I’m aware, the only way to turn that on or off is “Tracks menu > Sync-Lock Tracks”.
Other than removing it completely, do you have any suggestions for improvement?

It’s two steps:

  1. Split (Edit Menu: Audio Clips - Audacity Manual)
  2. Push (Time Shift Tool - Audacity Manual)

In Audacity 2.4.2, yes they do.

No. In Audacity 2.4.2 they are saved in the project.

I don’t know what you mean.

Very good idea.

I need to go back through some of the keystrokes again. I wasn’t taking notes. I was goal oriented. Sorry, “orientated.”
