Problems with naming files?
When opening an audio file in an empty project, whether by drag-and-drop or importing, Audacity takes the name from the file and makes it the current project name. So far, so good. Adding another file does not change the name; it remains the name of the first file. Also fine. However, if the project is saved (as a project) with a specific name, Audacity stops changing the name (of the first file added to the project) and only the name as saved in the project remains. Is this a possible option or is it a programming decision? I am currently using Audacity 3.7.7 on Windows 10.
I have read your post several times, and I am having difficulty figuring out what you are asking. Please elucidate.
