Problems recording the sound from my microphone and HP

Hi,

I have a lenovo laptop with just one entry for headphone and microphone.
I am using Windows 7 and Audacity 2.0.3. I also download the last version but I`ve the same problem with both versions.
I am using a dispositive which is microphone and headphone one together and I want to record the sound from the microphone and the sound from the headphone.
The problem is that Audacity is just recording the sound of my microphone and not the sound of the headphones.

Can you help me with this?

In general, you can only record one input at at time. The exception is that some soundcards/drivers allow you to record whatever you are hearing from your speakers/headphones. If you are hearing yourself in the headphones that may work for you. More information [u]here[/u].

If that doesn’t work for you, there is special software that allows you to record both sides of a Skype conversation or both sides of online gaming.
