When I try to select a specific part of an audio wave (stereo) the select tool will not begin selecting at the point I want to highlight. Instead it begins to highlight about 1 to 2 seconds before the area I want and will stop selecting at a point that if now what I wanted. Does anyone know why the selection tool will not allow me to select the exact location in the sound wave that I want? Thank you for reading my post.
Perhaps you have accidentally turned on “Snap to: seconds” https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/selection_toolbar.html#snap
Thank you Steve. You were right the “snap to” option was on, I turned it off.
