I just installed 2.1.1 using the install exe. Looking at an old recorded from vinyl project, there is a 4 second bad section that I can’t seem to delete. I select it with the selection tool but the Edit->Delete option is disabled. I tried zooming way in but still no luck. What am I doing wrong? I have some but limited experience with Audacity.

Most of the effects and tools will be disabled if you’re in Pause instead of Stop.
