Power went out mid recording :(

So i was recording a podcast with a friend, and literally as we finished trhe breaker blew in my house due to someone plugging too much stuff in unknowingly. i never got a chance to stop recording, but it was about an hour and a half of conversation. i tried to recover the file but it came up blank in audacity. after searching the files in my computer, i found 244 6 second filesthat seem to be it! however i cant figure out how to get them back in order properly… am i doomed to go throught them all one by one? Please HALP!

I’ve not tried this myself, but there’s a section in the manual about manual recovery: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/recovering_crashes_manually.html

update : i found all the files in a folder, all named randomly, no order to them. each file contained a 5second interval… a bunch of files were just extra noise. once i went through (all 1526 files) and got rid of those, it all plays together perfectly! i just have to figure out how to get the remaining 730 files merged into one file. progress!

As it says in the page that I posted the link for; you need to order them by their time stamp (creation / modification time).
