Pointer lost

Hi, now I can’t find the pointer! I’ve looked in the Forum and tried Selection Tools, and pressing “1” and “F1” to return to the pointer that normally works with the mouse (I don’t like using the arrow keys), but STILL cannot revert back to it. Also can’t figure out where the “deselection” function is. Right now, the mouse is attched to the capital “I” icon–I changed to “multi-tools,” but it doesn’t bring back that pointer! Please help, thanks again,
Susan

The “normal” pointer when over a track is the “I” icon, which is the “Selection Tool”.
The pointer should change back to an arrow while over other parts of the Audacity window.
See here for how to change to the different “tools” and a brief description of what each does: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tools_toolbar.html
The shortcuts are F1 to F6.

Bro, I’m a new user. I need help. I have downloaded a FLV format file from youtube. All the track in 1 single file.
The file is very big with a lots of tracks. now I want to convert this FLV file in to MP3, and I need all the track separate. not in 1 single file.
pls help how would I can do it. or is there any software what can separate all tracks. Thanks.

You’re in luck - there’s a tutorial in the manual about splitting long recordings: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/splitting_a_recording_into_separate_tracks.html
