At first I had trouble adding them, i had to download 32 version from a link on a forum page. But then I managed to open Gsnap and set key then i closed audacity.
Because first i couldn’t hear sound until i checked online for answers and i set to speakesrs in preferences. So after i managed to make it hear sound
When i opened it again, no dll plugins were functional anymore. it closes audacity if i try them and says program stopped working

WINDOWS VISTA 32 BITS
AUDACITY WAS ZIP
I did checked all effects in preferences and said audacity to add them again when reopens.
but it still didn’t work anymore.
so i only managed to open gsnap only once and set key
the other plugins\effects don;t function eithr
maybe i set something wrong in preferences or devices?
or what can it be? why it opened first time? but now when i try to select and apply effect it closes the program?
i’d appreciate some advices. if it doesn’t work i have to give up
thanks
press ENTER on your computer keyboard then open the “Audacity” folder. In that folder, delete the file “audacity.cfg” and delete the “pluginregistry.cfg” and “pluginsettings.cfg” files. This restores Audacity settings to factory defaults and deletes all the information Audacity had about your plugins.
Now launch Audacity. You won’t see a dialogue to load plugins because in 2.1.1 and later plugins are installed from inside Audacity. To install your plugins, open Effect > Manage… then select the plugins you want to enable, and press “Enable” and “OK”.
If there is a crash, you may see a "Debug report “Audacity” " dialogue. If you see that dialogue, press OK and then attach the ZIP file that Audacity will produce. The window after "Debug report “Audacity” " tells you where the ZIP file is. Please see here for how to attach files: https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/how-to-attach-files-to-forum-posts/24026/1
Using 2.1.1 on Windows 10, solution for No “rescan effects” option available…
Just wanted to add something to the GSNAP not showing up issue that I had to find on my own because I didn’t find it in searching.
Change in version 2.1.x I think…
The DLL was installed but the “rescan” option under "edit/preferences/effects was not there. So I poked around and found the “manage…” label at the very top of the Effects menu, and there it showed “Gsnap (new)” and I had to “enable” it.
Assuming you obtained the Audacity EXE installer, use Help > Manual top right of Audacity to look at the Manual.
The FAQ is often the best place to start.
If you got the ZIP of Audacity without Manual, then as long as you have the current version of Audacity from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows, you can read the Manual online.
