# Plugin shutting down Audacity

That is a bogus version not made by us, so as you suggested in another post, please update to 2.1.1 from [Audacity ® | Download for Windows](http://audacityteam.org/download/windows).

If you have not yet done so, please see [Important information for Windows XP users](https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/important-information-for-windows-xp-users/37650/1) about the security risks of running XP now that Microsoft no longer support it.

If you still have the same problem in 2.1.1 supplied by us, please attach the [Audacity Debug Report](http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/help_menu.html#data) that will probably be produced after the crash.
