hello i keep getting the infamous error while opening sound device please check input settings and sample rate, anyway i know alot of people have this problem but i have searched almost all the forums and nothing works to fix it, i changed all the settings to 16, 24 and 32 bit all the different sample rates, pluged in the device before starting, everything, i am trying to use a behringer usb guitar input audacity does recognize it and it also works in guitar rig just not audacity, i am running windows 7 64 bit with srs premium sound card, i have also tried disabling other sound devices in device manager and have also made behringer primary input device, please help im dying to record some metal, thanks

What options do you have in the Device Toolbar?

What is the model number of the guitar? Have you installed Behringer USB drivers? With some Berhringer devices the Behringer drivers can cause Audacity to give the error you see.

hey sorry for late reply i have AMD high definition audio device and realtek high definition audio device and behringer usb guitar link for the audio devices, i am using aria stg series not sure on the model number audacity does recognize this and i have also used the same guitar and usb device on another laptop so i know they both work im sure its pc related, oh and yes behringer drivers are installed thanks for replys

Try uninstalling them, which will use standard Windows USB audio drivers instead.
