Isn’t there a way to allow FAT32 LOAD/SAVE?
Maybe through a selector in the settings?
Problem: I am saving to Google Drive, and this is “virtually” formated as FAT32.
I can save bigger files than 4GB, but the drive itself reports FAT32 to Audacity and thus prevents saving and loading projects.
It would be easier to get Audacity to save and load these files than getting this Google-Multi-Billion-Dollar-Company to changing their software to exFAT…
Basically when we moved to the new consolidated AUP3 SQLite database file format fro projects it was clear that it was far too easy to exceed the 4GB filesize even with small projects that involved lots of editing.
It is really NOT recommended to work with projects on Cloud services (they are not responsive enough). The exception to this is working with Muse’s own cloud (audio.com) but they make that work with some coding magic using temp files.
A workaround would be to work with your project on your computer’s local storage, save the project and then copy the AUP3 file to Google Drive. You would also need to copy it back to local storage before working on it again of course.
