I’m still a novice in audacity. So I believe members here can help me regarding playing audio in audacity.
I have compilation of MP3 audio and I want to play it continuously.
But when I open my mp3 folders and click all audio in audacity.
It open multiple audacity window i.e. 1 mp3 file per window.
How can I played my mp3 files continously in one audacity window?
You could use Audacity for this but it is a poor tool for the job - Audacity is designed as an audio editor, not a music player.
There are plenty of players out there, many free - I use iTunes for example, but that’s because I run a couple of iPods.
To do what you want in Audacity:
- Open a new project in Audacity
- Use File > Import to import all your MP3s into the project (you can do that all in one go if the MP3s are all in one folder)
- This will give you a long stack of audacity tracks, all starting at time=0, so now use Tracks > Align Tracks > Align End to End
- Optionally I’d recommend:
4.1) Use Ctrl+A to select the whole project then use Tracks > Mix and Render to boil these down into a single track
4.2) Use Ctrl+A to select the whole project then use View > Fit in Window, so you see the whole project on-screen - Use Ctrl+A to select the whole project then use Shift+Play to invoke loop play.
