Playback while holding/moving selection

I’ve been using Audacity 2.1.0 for a while and got used to being able to hit space to start playback while moving one end of the selection to test the audio at different lengths. This doesn’t appear to be available in 3.3.3, as it doesn’t seem to take the play input until I release the selection. Is this possible to reinstate in later versions or is this behavior just gone?

Audacity 3.1 introduced a new “looping interface” where the length of the loop can be adjusted when the loop is looping … https://youtu.be/HpA138b-J9s?t=85

Thanks for the reply, but not quite what I’m looking for. That mentions being able to change the region of a looping section while its playing, I’m looking to be able to hit space to manually start/stop playback while the mouse is still dragging the selection region.
