You can apply the “Change Speed” effect and then copy/paste, or you can copy/paste and then apply the Change Speed effect.
I don’t know how to change the speed while the audio is held in Windows’ clipboard system, But I wrote macros to change the speed up (or down) while proof-listening to audio-book material, very handy if we had a slow(fast)-paced person reading and recording the book. (attached as text file)
The macro “SpeedUp” is one that I run.
That macro calls two other slave macros, one to speed up the audio by 17%, the other to reduce the accelerated pitch by the inverse of 17%
You can store these three macros in your macro folder (see Edit, Preferences, Directories, Macro output). Then record yourself speaking normally. Then Tools, Apply macro, Speedup.
For a reduced speed macro - by 17% - you will possible want to change the percentages from +17 to -15, and from -15 to +17.
But first make sure that the macros attached work for you!
Cheers, Chris
