Playback from the timeline is very quiet

Playback from the timeline is very quiet. Instead of -1dB, there is only up to -42dB in the loudspeaker display.
The exported audio file has normal volume again.
Windows 11 Pro 64-bit / Intel i5 / Realtek High Definition Audio / Audacity 3.7.3
What can I do?

Do you know the playback volume slider is now “hidden” under the playback meters? (And the recording slider under the recording meters.)
