When I plug my headphones in and try and change the playback audio there is noting there t is just the scroll box but it is completely empty and it doesn’t say device not found it is just blank, how do I fix this.
Which version of Windows?
Which version of Audacity? (look in “Help > About Audacity”)
What exactly did you do leading up to the problem?
