Please forgive me if I repeat something that’s already been posted somewhere in this forum. I couldn’t find a feature request for what I’m looking for.
On an everyday basis, I work with Adobe Audition. It’s a real resource hog and, since Adobe wants me to pay quite a lot for it, at some point in time I started looking for a free alternative. What prevents me from using Audacity more than once a year is the lack of some very useful function Audition has. The function I’m going to describe is already present in some other free audio editing software.
I’m really really looking forward to being able to play the audio and delete some portions of it simultaneously. Audition has this function for years and it works like a charm, however, when I try to do the same in Audacity, it shows me a message that I need to stop the playback in order to cut or delete any portion of the audio. Are there any chances that playing-and-deleting-simultaneously will be implemented in Audacity in the foreseeable future?
