Playback a project

I am trying to playback a project on my sound system. The system recognizes my computer but it says to “check the sampling rate on the playback device”, and I am not sure where to go from there.

Who is “it” that says “check the sampling rate on the playback device”? What is your “sound system” - make and model, please. How are you connecting your computer to your sound system?

and which version of Audacity? (look in “Audacity menu > About Audacity”)
