I am using audacity 2.3.2
After installing a clip and pushing the play icon it takes 3 to 5 seconds before I start hearing anything on my sound.
This has never happened before. Did I click on something by accident that is causing this?
A possible cause of that delay is real-time effects. If you have a real-time effect open in one Audacity window it will be applied when you play the audio in any of the windows.
Some real-time effects [in Audacity on Windows] delay the start of playback by ~3 seconds.
Solution: either disable the effect by unchecking the “enable” box in the bottom-left of the effect GUI window, or close the effect GUI window.
