Hi newbie here , my Pioneer mixer won’t show up in the devices list, I’m using the latest version of Audacity and El Captain on Mac, scratching my head here

If you connected the Pioneer after launching Audacity, you need to use Transport > Rescan Audio Devices in the Audacity menu bar, or to restart Audacity.

If you need more help please give us your Audacity version (all three numbers, see the pink panel at the top of the page). The latest Audacity version on some sites is not the latest 2.1.1 available from http://audacityteam.org/download/mac.

The version i have is 2.1.1-2 ?

Thanks. Have you used Transport > Rescan Audio Devices? Does the mixer show up in Audacity now?

i have tried that no luck

Have you visited http://www.pioneerdj.com/en-us/support/software/djm-750/#drivers and installed the DJM 750 driver for El Capitan? If not, please try that. Note that driver requires minimum of OS X 10.11.1 not the original El Capitan, so make sure your El Capitan is updated.

Also note that you may need to select the Pioneer as the recording device to use in /Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup and to set its format to the same sample rate as the project rate bottom left of Audacity.
