I recorded my podcast, saved an audacity version to my computer. And then went about editing it. Saving as I went along.
Decided to normalise and then close the audacity window after saving at this point.
Went to open it the next day and received the orphan file bug.
Attached the log. Any advice on how to recover would be helpful.

It is recommended that you Export a perfect quality WAV (Microsoft) 16-bit sound file of your raw work before you do anything to it. That way, if anything bad happened to the Project, you don’t have to perform it all again. Do Not use MP3 sound files for this.
It is also recommended that you periodically Save As a different show name. That gives you a fixed-in-time backup in case anything bad happens to the show you’re editing.
Macs have automatic “Time Machine” backups as you work and it’s sometimes possible to “step back” and rescue a show that way.

The top of the log is complaining about not being able to find the FFMpeg libraries which is normal if you never needed advanced sound formats. the rest of the log is complaint about a mismatch between the AUP file calling for sound files and the _DATA folder not being able to find those files.
How long is the show? What’s the possibility you closed Audacity before it was done saving the last Project?
Is this your first podcast?
