HI, I just wanted to know if there is any possible way to use Audacity with Android. I am using it with W 10 for my classes, but I need some portable device for more ease of use, and I run across this issue of not being compatible with Android, so, it means you cant use it with any mobile phone or tablet? No, but you can use the phone or tablet internal microphone and software. Have you tried it? Unless you’re using an expensive shotgun microphone (recommended) the quality may be up to what you need. Double record one session and see what happens.
The iPhone in particular has two different sound recorders, Voice Memo with some quality processing and Music Memo which has zero.
Voice Memos show up on the iTunes music management screens.
Unless one of the developers has a "skunkworks Project on Android, I don’t think any of them would welcome yet another variation. Remember it has to come out on the OS and all the supported languages. Are you volunteering?
