Is there anyone out there who would be willing to help me one-on-one with my multi-track recording using audacity? I am (of course) willing to pay. I live in Toronto, Ontario (Canada). I am having issues, and would be elated if someone could help me first hand.
someone could help me first hand.
While that’s possible, it’s not likely. We can wait for someone to post who is knowledgeable and local, or we can try to help you here on the forum.
Which version of Audacity are you using and which Windows?

I am using Windows 10, and will be looking ultimately at using version 2.4.2 of audacity. I have tried it on 2 different computers now, and have had the same problem on both: I am recording 2 vocal parts, each on their own tracks. The first track I record sounds fine. But then when I record the 2nd vocal part on the 2nd track, it sounds are garbled and wonky. I do use headphones, and I have the following settings:
-Play other tracks while recording (overdub) is checked.
-Software playthrough of input - is NOT checked
I think I have also tried recording both with and without the box “Detect Dropouts” checked. It doesn’t seem to solve the problem either way.
Thank you so much for trying to help me!!
