I want to distort a vocal recording to make it sound like it was recorded back in the 40s. The project is recreating one of those old-time educational films, and I want the narrator to have the same sound as the original films.

You can try this VST plugin called Telephone. It will make your voice sound as if speaking through a telephone line. It may work for your project. Let me know.
I downloaded this .dll file and it did not work. Can you help me to get it to work? I downloaded it to the Audacity Plugin folder, but when I go to apply it I cannot find it in the list of plugins available. Any help you can give to me would be greatly appreciated. Have a great day.
