Noticeable visual delay of cursor on tracks

I used Audacity a lot. My system is Ubuntu Studio 24.04.1 LTS (Intel i5 64 bits, 8 GB RAM).

But, since the last upgrading (3.7), I can see a noticeable visual delay between the cursor line and the audible audio. The delay is almost a second.

I mean, when I hear a sound peak (snare, as sample), I can see the cursor line to reach that visual peak almost a second latter.

I’m using the exactly same configuration than the prior version, and it is the exactly same machine.

How can I recover the full synchronizing between audible audio and the cursor line position???

I found the solution!!!

Because some reason, the upgrading changed the audio device from “System Default” to “Pipewire”. So, I changed it and… All is working perfect, here!!!

I hope this solution helps someone else.
