Not sure if it's my interface or Audacity.

I have been using Audacity about 2 years now with no issues. About 3 weeks ago I made a recording and it was fine. Two days later I tried to record another song and every time I hit record the whole track moved to the right I. It would not pick up my guitar. I went to some recording I made in Audacity and when I hit play everything shifted to the right but it did play the recording. I checked my cable and it works on my amp. I have not touched any settings so I don’t have a clue what is going on. I asked a few friends that record and all were stumped. I would appreciate any help.

I’m not sure what you are trying to describe, but my best guess is that you have accidentally clicked on the “Pinned Recordhead/Playhead” button.

If the icon on the button looks like a thumbtack, click on it so that it changes back to a triangle icon.
