I can’t find a current entry for this issue but it appears in the past. This is 3.7.3 on Windows 11
Save the work, close the file, Audacity compacts and it closes down no problem.
Save the file, close the file, Audacity doesn’t compact, failure report is generated which wont send.
Open the file again, Audacity recovers to the last save, which was saved previously, save the file and it closes without a problem. This seems to occur on files of 30 minutes plus duration.
I think after 16 years of use Audacity is great however I am having to back up every time before exiting just in case it cant recover the file.
How do we get this looked at ?
Anyone else having the same problem.
