Not able to record old LPs using USB connection

Hello, I have purchased a Victrola USB turntable. I upgraded the Audacity software to current 2.4.2. I am attempting to transfer some VERY OLD LPs (like from 1960s and 70s MONO) to digital format using USB connection direct to my Windows 10 desktop PC. I cannot hear the LP music through my PC (yes I have selected the Software playthrough of input option) while it is playing. The WAV and MP3 files that I save appear to be empty, no sound plays when I try to listen to them. Using the monitor feature shows that something is being monitored however I am not seeing any activity on the audio track. I have watched a number of YouTube instructional videos, tried all Host, Microphone and Output options but still can’t get anything. Can someone please provide some assistance, suggestions.

Thank you.
ACHA

Do you see a waveform?

Select the USB device as your Recording Device and select your regular speakers as your playback device.
