I used noise reduction removing a bell sound, it worked,
but found there was no drums bass music in the speakers. It isolated the vocals completely. That is interesting alone in its self. However it plays with all music in the headphones. Just in the speakers only vocals. Wierd problem was solved by splitting the stereo track to mono tracks left and right and advancing left by . 004 s almost.
Any thoughts? I have fixed the bell sound.
Thanks Audacity
You can have “magic” tracks like that if your Left and Right sound is out of phase.
These may sound OK on headphones or good quality stereo speakers, but will crash on single speaker systems, mono-mix systems, and cellphones.
This looks like a normal stereo sound track.
But it’s not. If you magnify it, you find that the two blue wave motions are exactly opposite.
You can use the drop-down menu on the track left to Split Stereo Track.
Select the top track and Effect > Invert.
Then menu on the left again, Make Stereo Track.
You need to do this dance to the original damaged track. If you mixed this bad track with normal stereo tracks, the fix will break the normal tracks. You can’t fix a mixed show.
Good luck,
Koz
Noise Reduction doesn’t do that. You got crossed symptoms. You applied noise reduction and then happened to listen on a mono-mix system which turned up the real problem.
