No sound

I just purchased a new Pyle digital turntable. The Audacity software came with it. version 2.0.x.0x I installed turntable and did software setup. I running Windows 7.0 Ultimate It has it own sound system inside computer and output from that is feed into an external sound system It work fine with music files on my computer… But when plugging my usb connector into a USB port I lose all sound from my system as well as no sound from the turntable When trying it. But when unpluging the usb for the turntable from computer I can the get my music files on my computer to be heard. The computer see the turntable when the usb is pluged in. Has anyone know the answer to this… I was maybe thing it might be a com port conflict How do I check that and change if needed. Any help would be most welcome… James

Windows thinks your turntable is a USB soundcard, and it’s trying to send the sound out to your turntable instead of to your regular soundcard. See the Audacity FAQ for how to re-configure your computer.

Otherwise, are you able to record from the turntable? (You don’t necessarily hear what you are recording.)

version 2.0.x.0x

This is unrelated to your current problem, but I recommend you download version 2.1.1 (What you have might not be an “official” version.)
