I am new. I’m using Audacity for the first time today. I’m trying to record chirping sounds, but I hear nothing. I see that something is being recorded, but I hear nothing. I read the tutorial.
Please help. I’m using 2.1.

We get the most from your questions if you’re accurate and complete. Audacity doesn’t make a version 2.1. There is a 2.1.0 and multiple bogus versions that are close but no cigar. Also which windows are you using and in general, what kind of computer?
USB microphone? Which one?
