I am lost.
For over 2 years I have used Audacity with no issues and now suddenly I can’t get it to work.
See the attached screenshot. What am I doing wrong? Have in mind that when I hear sound anywhere else on my laptop it works without any issues.
Youtube, Spotify, SoMe, Adobe Audition etc.
Please help a frustrated dane.

The goal can sometimes tell us lots about what you’re doing and sometimes what the solution is.
From the pictures Audacity seems to be set up right. When was the last time you did a clean shutdown of Windows? Shift + Shutdown instead of plan Shutdown or Restart. Wait a bit and then Start.
Do you use Skype or other Chat or Conferencing? They’re famous for taking over the computer and not telling you.
Are you set up to record internet music or other sound? That’s not simple to do and it can interrupt playback sound.
