So I am very new to Audacity and don’t know how to do much with it. I have a loop machine called the Jam Man Stereo, which you can create loops and carry the wave files over on to your computer with an SD card. I have recorded a file on the SD and moved it on to my Windows 8 computer but it just shows up as one solid blue line. It wont play on any other media player either; such as WMP or Jam Manger, the program that comes with the Jam Man. I have tried reading the forums about how to fix this and but being new to record I don’t really know most of the terms or steps. I hope someone can help me out with this. Thank you for your time.
I’ve had a look at the Jam Man Stereo manual (http://digitech.com/en/products/jamman-stereo) and nowhere can I see it say that it stores recordings in WAV format. It does say that the loops are WAV format, but it looks like they “manage” them in some way on the disk (it’s rather vague about the details in the manual). From what I can work out it stores the recordings in its own “loop” format and that you need either a Jam Man or the JamManager to read those files.
If the JamManager cannot read the files from the SD card, you will need to contact digitech.com as it is a problem with their product.
