I am using Windows XP, Audacity Version 2.0.6.
I recorded an audio file from a Utube video with Audacity and Lame etc. The recording process seemed to go fine. Then I exported and saved the file as an MP3. Then I tried to play the file in both the Audacity and in Windows media player. I see the sound bars moving back and forth but hear no sound. I thought the problem may have been: while recording in Audacity I see that the left and right volume bars were at the 0 level. I re-recorded it with the volume controls set at maximum. Still no sound. Please, what am I doing wrong? Thanks.
