No sound on exported MP3s [SOLVED]

I can monitor my sound and listen to it on Audacity but after I have exported to MP3 (or any other format for that matter) the playback has no sound. No matter if I use Media Player or VLC or what ever,

I must be missing something.

I have installed Lame_v3.99.3_for_Windows but still no joy.

In general, look in Windows Control Panels and see where Windows is trying to send your show. That USB thing is the most common.
