No sound level reading

Please help if you can. I’m going crazy trying to figure out what the problem is.

I’m using a 3.5mm Stereo Male to 2RCA Male 22AWG Cable from my early 1990’s Denon stereo receiver to my PC Windows 10 & I’m not getting any sound showing up on the levels. I am getting sound out of my computer speakers & stereo speakers.
I just want to digitize some records, nothing to complicated.
I’ve tried going into Sound & adjusting the levels but the levels were already set to 100.

Does your computer have a line-inputs? If you have a desktop/tower computer the line-input on the soundcard is usually color-coded blue. Most laptops have only mic-in and headphone-out so you need an audio interface with line-inputs.
