No sound in wave or mp3 export file

Hi
I have created a project in Audacity and trying to export short clips from it using wave or mp3 format. I had installed Lame plugin as well. While its exporting the files, however, there is no sound when am playing the wave or mp3 files in another player - Quick Time or iTunes. I need these clips as background VO for an animation hence please help.

How do you select and export the clips? In detail.

Do you use the default WAV (Microsoft) export?

Hi

I select the part of the clip. Then went to File menu < Export selected audio. I have tried exporting it in WAV (Microsoft) signed 16-bit PCM, WAV (Microsoft) 32-bit float PCM and as MP3 files. While its creating the file - it created a 913kb file for a 5-second VO but there is no sound when am playing it with Quick time player.

How about if you play it in a fresh (restarted) Audacity?
