Hello, I don’t know what has happened but audacity has suddenly stopped playing the sounds on my projects when I press play. There’s nothing wrong with th speakers and I haven’t set anything that doesn’t let it access the output, so I’m not sure why. Any advice would be appreciated
1. If playback occurs, check the playback volume slider. It is located on the playback level indicator. The slider should be located on the right side of indicator.
2. If playback no occurs, check the audio output device in Audacity
The audio output is set as the same as everything else that produces sound when I play something
So, see point 1.
VP 2024’s post in readable form:

There’s no playback
I used to be able to copy cassettes just fine with my old computer, but now with the newer laptop, when I record, I see the recording levels fine, but don’t see hardly anything on the wave meter. And when I playback, I can barely hear anything. There has to be some certain settings that need to be changed or something. I don’t want to do anything spectacular, just record old cassettes to the computer. Please help
