No playback on speakers

Hi. I’m using Audacity 2.4.2 on Windows 10. I have been using it to listen to vinyl with an ion turntable for awhile now. Long story short, I plugged in another turntable temporarily and messed around with the settings, and now I am having trouble hearing the playthrough in Audacity.

I have the following settings:

Audio Host: Windows DirectSound
Recording Device: Microphone Array (USB PnP Audio Device)
Recording Channels: 2 (Stereo) Recording Channels
Playback Device - Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio).

I think this was the setting I had it on when it was working. Should have written it down. Anyway, I’m getting the levels active on both the microphone and speaker… but can’t hear any audio. I’ve played music through other apps so I know it must be my setup. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Have you got Software Playthrough turned in in Transport>Transport Options ?

You need that turned on.

Also, note that you may need to turn up the volume on the playback meter within Audacity. And of course, your system volume level.
