Audacity is now giving me issues. How do i get this to record only voice - with no microphone so i can finish this project that’s due Dec 7th

What??? The only way to get acoustic soundwaves into the computer is with a microphone. If you have a laptop computer there is a mic built-in.
Or if you have a smart phone you can use a recording app, and then optionally transfer the files to your computer.
This is why you shouldn’t be all jumping up and down mad when you post. You leave out important parts.
I’m guessing you’re recording YouTube or other internet sound or chat transmission and your microphone is also recording the dog barking or some other event in your house. Did I hit it?

It is a narrated powerpoint for my college history class. this is powerpoint number 2.
I recorded #1 without a headset just fine - since recording powerpoint #1 I have not messed with any settings so to me needing a headset is out of the blue. I didnt need or use anything when recording the first 1. i just hit record and started reading the slides
